Carlton Brick is an independent clay brick-making company, in Yorkshire.

Based at Grimethorpe, near Barnsley, bricks have been made on the site for 130 years.

The modern Carlton Brick employs 70 people and makes 35 million bricks per year. The factory runs seven days a week.

With over a century of experience, Carlton Brick really knows its brick-making!

Carlton Brick make bricks that are a perfect match for the regional variations in brickwork that exist in Britain, especially those brick types that might be found in the Midlands and North of England.

Clay sourced out of the on-site quarry is blended and matured for months before use in the production process; this ensures exactly the right mix for making consistent, high quality red, buff or brown facing bricks.

Carlton Brick, a privately owned clay brick factory in Yorkshire. Based at Grimethorpe, near Barnsley, bricks have been made on the site for at least 125 years. They manufacture about 35 million bricks every year, with the factory running seven days a week throughout the year - apart from at Christmas.
