Take a look at Martin and Shirlie Kemp's home renovation project, including their converted pig hut in the garden
The celebrity couple have spent a year and a half transforming their home and the results are impressive
Musician and actor Martin and his wife Shirlie Kemp have revealed their stunning home and garden renovation project on their Instagram page.
The pair's Hertfordshire property has seen its kitchen, garden and dining room transformed, and a former pig shed at the bottom of the garden has also been turned into a "romantic rustic dining room".
The changes to the Victorian house took place over a year and a half, despite the couple believing the changes would take five years to complete claiming, "We can definitely stop now and start to enjoy the place".
The Kemps' stunning project offers plenty of inspiration to anyone looking to renovate a house.

The kitchen renovation was one of the first things the celebrity couple got to work on as they created a classic Shaker-style kitchen complete with contemporary metallic touches.
The old kitchen was dated with tiled flooring and brown wooden cabinets. This was replaced with a large central island, white painted wooden cabinets, a Belfast sink and brass overhead lighting.
They posted on their Instagram page, maisonnumber9: "The first thing I do when walking into a room is imagine it totally empty. I really liked the shape of this kitchen, it was easy to see what I needed to do. I was going to knock a wall down and make it more open but changed my mind as the project went on."

The pair showed off their new dining room fireplace, which has been painted bright white. "The dining room fireplace was a very dull grey stone so I did some research and found a limestone fireplace paint by @stonelux_paints," they explained.
They showed their pleasure with the result adding: "Have to say it’s really nice, the fireplace looks brand new! It's bright and fresh and really flows better with other the rooms!"
The couple also restored the fireplace in their kitchen by replacing the mantle and adding two large corbels they found on Etsy.

The garden renovation is just as impressive as the work the couple have completed inside their home. It included replanting rose bushes, adding a variety of new plants, laying new turf and creating a curved path using porcelain patio tiles.
They stated on their Instagram page: "I find it hard to drag myself away from here especially as everything is really waking up . Bluebells, cow-parsley, forget me knots and the apple blossom is bursting with delicate white flowers."
The couple have further highlighted their new curved walkway with a pretty path edging idea using container and ground cover plants: "We planted various plants along the path so that once these mature they will create a floral walkway. Still a way to go but it feels great to finally seeing it all taking shape."

Pig shed turned into a rustic garden dining room
As part of their garden landscaping ideas, the couple decided to turn a pig shed at the bottom of their garden into a "romantic rustic dining room".
The pig shed, nicknamed "piglet" by the couple, dates back to the 1940s and was dilapidated with a damaged roof. With lots of care and attention the couple have now transformed it into a timber-clad dining room with bifold doors whilst the interior is painted white.

They posted on their Instagram page: "It took me a while to paint Piglet white inside as the patina on the old part of the walls had a warm Tuscany like charm but at the same time I wanted to use the space as a photography studio, so I followed my gut and painted the walls, ceiling and floor all white and I absolutely love it."
