Is dehumidifier stock running low? I checked 8 online stores to see what's on offer
With rumours of dehumidifier stock running low, I checked 8 of the major online stores to find out what's in stock and where you can find deals right now
It's not surprising to hear that dehumidifiers could be hard to find in the next few weeks, with the sudden snap of cold weather highlighting the need for one in your home.
Perfect for battling condensation, damp and mould, concerns are growing that we could potentially face a similar dehumidifier shortage to the one seen at the start of this year.
Add to this the flurry of purchasing with Black Friday deals already being offered online, should you be concerned stores will run out, or are there still plenty of the best dehumidifiers available?
I've scoured online stores to find out what's in stock and where you can get a bargain.
Which dehumidifier do you need?
Choosing the right dehumidifier comes down to a number of different factors. The temperature of the room where you will be using it, what you will be using it for, how much moisture you need to extract each day and budget.
Not to be confused with cheaper moisture absorbers, dehumidifiers are electrical appliances that need to be plugged in to work. Mechanically extracting moisture from the air, they are perfect for dealing with window condensation, drying out basements or garages, drying laundry and helping to improve the overall ambient temperature of your home.
For colder spaces you'll need to use a dessicant vs a compressor dehumidifier as these are designed to work in lower temperatures. Minor levels of moisture can sometimes be tackled with smaller dehumidifiers, although in most cases, investing in a larger model will generally provide you with a more efficient solution.

Where to buy dehumidifiers
The good news is, we've searched the following sites for dehumidifiers, and there's currently stock available in them all. Some less than others, but nothing that would suggest you will struggle to buy one for now.
Meaco's founder and managing director, Chris Michael also assures us, "there's no dehumidifier shortage at Meaco this year, but we of course don’t know about other brands.
"We have 109,630 dehumidifiers in our UK warehouse ready for delivery," he adds, "with more on the way!"
However, with new Black Friday deals being added each day, it's worth starting your research into the right model for you sooner rather than later.
- Appliances Direct - A good selection including early Black Friday deals
- Amazon - Lots to choose and Black Friday deals on well known brands
- Argos - Less deals available but stock levels seem fine
- Currys - Lower stock than other stores but deals available
- QVC - Only a few options but free P&P
- B&Q - Black Friday deals and plenty of available products
- Meaco - Buy direct from the brand with plenty of stock available
- Pro-Breeze - Early Black Friday deals available on most products
Where to find dehumidifier deals
To help you find the best dehumidifier to suit your needs before stock runs out, we've rounded up some of the best deals and products we've spotted. However do remember stock levels and prices can change daily.
1. Appliances Direct
You can take your time browsing the dehumidifier section at Appliances Direct. There's a vast selection of stock available and loads of offers, including reductions of up to £200 on some domestic models – although with reductions like this they may not be around for long. There's particularly some great deals on dehumidifiers for laundry.
Or, if you're renovating a house or have experienced a flood and need something more powerful then we recommend you get shopping quickly, the electriQ 30L Industrial Portable Dehumidifier has a huge reduction of £369.
Currently reduced by £200, it's ultra quiet and I rated the 12l version the best dehumidifier for bedrooms
Redued by £95, laundry's a breeze with this dehumidifier boasting infrared sensors to detect wet spots and direct the warm air to the wettest clothes first
2. Amazon
There are currently a host of Black Friday deals on Amazon that you may want to consider if you're looking to grab a bargain. Ranging from well known to lesser known brands, there's a wide variety of products available in all shapes and sizes, including brands we've tested in our guide to the best dehumidifiers.
Currently reduced from £219.99 to £152.99 this Pro Breeze dehumidifier can remove up to 20L of water a day and is app controllable
Part of Amazon's Black Friday deals this extra large 30L dehumidifier is reduced from £235.99 to £159.99 and can tackle areas up to 90sqm large
3. Argos
Less deals available at Argos, but a good selection of products still in stock including dessicant dehumidifiers and a premium air conditioner, heater and dehumidifier 3-in-1 solution.
Lightweight and perfect for use in colder spaces, £2 from every sale also goes towards an elephant orphanage in Zambia
Keep your home at the perfect temperature all year round with this three in one heater, dehumidifier and air conditioner
4. Currys
While Currys is usually a great option for dehumidifiers, there's more products showing out of stock than in other retailers. But, there's still plenty of dehumidifiers available and some great deals on dual air conditioner/dehumidifier appliances.
Grab this dual smart air conditioner and dehumidifier unit while there's £280 off and your investment will last you year-round
You can currently get £40 off this dehumidifier which comes from Meaco – one of the most well known dehumidifier brands
5. AO.com
You'll want to get online quickly if AO.com is your preferred supplier of electrical appliances. Of the 12 dehumidifiers usually available, there's only 2 left showing in stock. Given the Black & Decker model currently has £50 off, we expect this to be gone soon as well.
App controllable and suitable for rooms up to 15sqm this dehumidifer is currently reduced to £99
Suitable for larger spaces, this covers up to 75sqm. I tested the smaller 12l version for drying laundry and loved it.
6. B&Q
The home of everything DIY, Black Friday deals have also landed at B&Q, including some great deals on dehumidifiers with two mid-size products available for £99.
With the price currently reduced to £99 from £160, this one's selling fast. It has a HEPA filter and can be controlled by Google or Alexa
A £91 reduction means this dehumidifier is also available for under £100. Extracting up to 16L of mositure a day castors on the base make it easy to move around
Although using a dehumidifier is a great way of dealing with excess moisture in your home, if you find your problems with mould and damp still persist after using one, find out how to treat damp and keep it away for good.
