Halifax has teamed up with Octopus Energy and Effective Home to offer cashback incentives for mortgage customers who invest in home energy upgrades.
Through the Halifax Green Living Reward, eligible customers can receive up to £2,000 cashback for installing air source heat pumps and up to £1,000 for solar panels or battery storage systems.

What is the Halifax Green Living Reward?
Halifax's Green Living Reward is designed to encourage homeowners to adopt more energy-efficient systems by providing financial rewards.
Halifax mortgage customers can get up to £2,000 cashback for installing air source heat pumps and £1,000 for installing solar panels or solar batteries.
Additional perks include a £100 energy bill credit from Octopus Energy for heat pump installations, a £500 discount on solar panel packages, and £500 cashback on other home improvements like biomass boilers, solar thermal heating, and insulation.
Who qualifies for the offer?
In order to qualify for the Halifax Green Living Reward you must have a Halifax or Bank of Scotland current account at the time of your claim.
You must also have installed the solar panels, heat pump or other relevant home improvement system within one year of finalising your Halifax mortgage.
How do you receive the cashback?
If you meet the criteria you can claim for the cashback by uploading your invoice for the heat pump, solar panels or other improvement to your Green Living journey and submit your claim.
If you qualify, Halifax say they will try to credit your account within 72 hours after you submit your invoice.
You can only claim each cashback reward once but Halifax say you might be able to claim more than one if you have multiple mortgages or recently switched to a new deal.
